Bushfire Fighting Foam

Solberg Fire-Brake™ 3150A is a proven Class A foam that has been used
on some of the worst Australian wildfires in the past two decades.
Solberg Fire-Brake™ 3150A works 4 ways
Solberg Fire-Brake™ 3150A is a dense, thick foam and acts just
like a blanket on the fire.

1. Excludes oxygen and smothers the fire.
2. It can stop Class A fuel from getting dangerously hot as the foam
absorbs radiant heat.
3. The foam helps cool the fire by releasing trapped water gradually.
4. Easy visibility – you can see the white Solberg Fire-Brake™ 3150A
foam from the air and during a ground attack. This helps when
you’re making a continuous firebreak.

Solberg Fire-Brake™ 3150A is an effective water management
tool. Solberg Fire-Brake™ 3150A foam concentrate can expand
the volume of water at least ten times.

1%
FLUORINE FREE
CLASS A/B FOAM CONCENTRATE

The first certified fluorine free Class A/B firefighting foam, PHOS-CHEK®
1% fluorine free foam concentrate is a mixture of water and hydrocarbon
surfactants. Developed for use on Class B hydrocarbon fuel fires,
this organohalogen free foam is an environmentally responsible next
generation product, that demonstrates Perimeter Solutions’ commitment
to superior firefighting performance and environmental responsibility.
PHOS-CHEK 1% fluorine free foam is designed for rapid control and
knockdown in both gentle and forceful applications on hydrocarbon
fuel fires. Use of fluorine free foam is an option for spill fires and are
typically used in lower hazard fire scenarios. PHOS-CHEK 1% fluorine
free foam is an extremely effective wetting agent for use on Class A
fires involving ordinary combustible materials such as wood, cloth,
paper, rubber and many plastics.

SOLBERG® AVIGARD™ Fluorine-Free Foam Concentrates are a state-of-the-art
fluorine-free, low viscosity aviation foam technology designed for extinguishing
and securing flammable aviation fuel spills and fires (Jet A and Jet A1). A special
combination of hydrocarbon surfactants and additives delivers excellent foaming,
extinguishment and burnback properties to firefighting foams using either fresh
water or sea water. SOLBERG AVIGARD foam concentrates contain no added PFAS
chemicals and can be considered as readily and rapidly biodegradable.

SOLBERG® VERSAGARD™ AS-100 multipurpose 3×3 fluorine-free foam concentrate is a state-of-the-art alcohol-resistant, fluorine-free pseudoplastic foam technology, with no intentionally added PFAS chemicals, designed for extinguishing and securing both Class B (hydrocarbon fuel and polar solvent fuel) and deep-seated Class A fires. This fluorine-free foam concentrate is a combination of hydrocarbon surfactants and additives delivering excellent foaming, vapour sealing, extinguishment and burnback properties for attacking and securing both shallow and fuel in-depth fires, using fresh, sea or brackish water. Some fluorine-free foams are viscous and often show viscosity increase in contact with water. SOLBERG VERSAGARD AS-100 creates very stable foams with similar viscosity to traditional AR-AFFF foams. This significantly improves storage, handling and long-term stability.

SOLBERG®
DoD 3155

TRAINING FOAM CONCENTRATE

DESCRIPTION

SOLBERG® DoD 3155 is an economical training foam product for cold and hot training exercises. The product is a super concentrate that must be diluted by adding 1 litre to 19 litres of water, then proportionate the mixture at 6% through air-aspirated or non air-aspirated equipment. The resulting foam can be used for cold training exercises to allow crews to become familiar with their equipment and have minimal environmental impact. In addition, the foam can be used for hot training exercises on hydrocarbon, non-water miscible fuels.

APPLICATIONS

Originally designed for use on Department of Defence fire training grounds, SOLBERG DoD 3155 is a unique training tool that is used to assist trainee fire fighters to become familiar with flammable liquid fire fighting scenarios. Whether the facility utilises LPG simulators, or controlled flammable liquid props, DoD 3155 foam solution will allow familiarisation with foam generation equipment that will give fire fighters confidence and learn the appropriate use of hand held nozzles and even fire fighting appliances. Whether the scenario is shipboard, aircraft crash rescue or battleground, this foam concentrate is an appropriate training tool. This product is also suitable for civil aviation, fire brigade and maritime training schools.

USE INSTRUCTIONS

To prepare the training foam mixture, it is recommended that an old fire fighting foam 20 litre pail be used to prepare the solution. First fill the 20 litre pail with approximately 19 litres of water. Add 1 litre of the Training Foam super concentrate to the water. Stir, tumble or shake the mixture to ensure optimal dispersion of the superconcentrate in the water. Then apply this mixture at 6% with water through a foam proportioning system. Additional DoD 3155 can be added to adjust performance if required, depending fire equipment design and desired visual effect. In addition, 3% training foam mixtures can also be prepared through the higher measures of DoD 3155 foam concentrate.

Available Options
