The first certified fluorine free Class A/B firefighting foam, PHOS-CHEK®
1% fluorine free foam concentrate is a mixture of water and hydrocarbon
surfactants. Developed for use on Class B hydrocarbon fuel fires,
this organohalogen free foam is an environmentally responsible next
generation product, that demonstrates Perimeter Solutions’ commitment
to superior firefighting performance and environmental responsibility.
PHOS-CHEK 1% fluorine free foam is designed for rapid control and
knockdown in both gentle and forceful applications on hydrocarbon
fuel fires. Use of fluorine free foam is an option for spill fires and are
typically used in lower hazard fire scenarios. PHOS-CHEK 1% fluorine
free foam is an extremely effective wetting agent for use on Class A
fires involving ordinary combustible materials such as wood, cloth,
paper, rubber and many plastics.

PHOS-CHEK 1% fluorine free foam concentrate is designed for use on
Class B hydrocarbon fuel fires (gasoline, crude oil, aviation fuels, diesel,
etc.) at 1% proportioning. The foam concentrate is not intended for
use on Class B polar solvents or water miscible fuels such as alcohols,
ketones, esters and others. On Class A fuels, the foam concentrate
is used as a wetting agent in accordance with ANSI/NFPA 18.
PHOS-CHEK 1% fluorine free foam concentrate is compatible with
conventional firefighting equipment such as low expansion non-air
aspirating and air aspirating nozzles and monitors, medium expansion
foam devices and Compressed Air Foam Systems (CAFS).

Non-Water Miscible Fires
• Class A fire use, mix 0.1 part foam concentrate to 99.9 parts water.
• Class B fire use, mix 0.25 part foam concentrate to 99.75 parts water.

Unlike legacy C8 and mixed homologue based fluorinated firefighting
foams (AFFF, AR-AFFF, FFFP, AR-FFFP, FP, AR-FP) which are considered
to be toxic and bioaccumulative based on current regulatory criteria,
PHOS-CHEK 1% fluorine free foam concentrate does not contain
any PFAS ingredients commonly found in fluorinated Class B
foam concentrates
