Designed for aircrews by aircrews, the full-body Helitack Harness™ brings operator comfort, safety and versatility to a new level. The sewn waist loop attachment point allows for multiple carabiner attachment as well as large hoist hooks without the risk of twisting or binding hardware. A rear D-ring provides a travel restraint attachment point when working inside the aircraft cabin. Sternal and dorsal attachment points provide additional hoisting/lifting points in order to facilitate specific mission requirements. The vest is made of high-visibility orange mesh and features reflective material on the back of each shoulder, allowing the wearer to be seen more easily in low light conditions, as well as aiding vertical referencing when suspended beneath the aircraft. A Radio/HEED version that features a single radio pocket as well as a pocket for an emergency egress air bottle (not included), which is often desired when flying over water, is available by special order. A flotation collar may be added by special order.

Our Special Ops Harness™ was developed from the request of the emergency services unit of a large Southern California Sheriff’s Department that wanted a harness combined with a special equipment-carrying vest. When working in a helicopter, the crew needed to be tied in but also wanted to stow the harness leg loops for comfort and mobility. The harness was designed with leg loops that fold up and attach to the waist with hook-and-loop retaining straps and feature ANSI-rated AustriAlpin COBRA™ buckles that are quick to connect and disconnect yet designed to not open when loaded. For rappels and hoist operations, the harness has waist and sternum attachment points. The integrated breathable mesh vest has pockets for a radio or compass and includes attachment points for holsters or other gear worn on a duty belt. The drag handle at the top of the harness back can be used to help lift the wearer into a helicopter or drag an injured team member. Shoulders have removable reflective strips that provide enhanced visibility when desired. Both the front and back feature a built-in MOLLE Attachment System. Designed for Swiftwater Rescue Technicians

Designed in cooperation with a large Southern California fire department’s aviation unit and USAR teams to meet their requirements for an ergonomic rescue swimmer harness, our (Swiftwater Rescue Technician) SRT Harness™ combines vertical lift capability while being worn underneath a PFD. Extensive field testing by actual SRTs, USAR specialists and lifeguards resulted in this unique harness design.

The harness includes a front waist D-ring for rappels and a rear waist D-ring for travel restraint inside a helicopter. The harness is manufactured using polyester web to minimize strength loss when wet and to allow for quicker drying. Stainless steel hardware reduces corrosion from frequent exposure to water.

The ProSeries® Harness Combo™ consists of the ProSeries® Rescue Harness™ and ProSeries® Chest Harness™, which together make a versatile full-body harness. The chest harness can be easily be removed to allow the seat harness to be used alone. The centerpiece of our new harness is the patented (ANSI) aluminum AustriAlpin Cobra™ quick connect buckles. Cobra buckles are of the strongest load-bearing quick-release fasteners available, and will not open while under load.

We have also widened the waist strap of the harness to distribute the load across a greater surface area, which results in more comfort for the wearer. Another new feature is a Fall Arrest Indicator located near the dorsal D-ring. A stitched warning label will display if the harness has been subjected to excess forces on the dorsal D-ring.

Our Lifesaver Victim Harness™ attaches quickly and securely no matter how or where the victim is positioned. Colored web makes using the harness even easier. Our Utility Harness is a simple solution for a truck company’s rope kit, this simple one-size-fits-most harness uses the same heavy-duty web and buckles as our rescue harnesses and is sewn to the same exacting standards. Its contrasting stitching is easy to inspect.

Designed to be worn during fire ground operations, the Fire Escape Harness uses Kevlar^® brand fiber web for high heat and flame resistance and can be worn over bunker pants without compromising firefighter safety. If done with care, the harness can be left on over the pants when they are stored, so it can be donned simultaneously. The new, improved design is one size fits most. The soft connection loop in front stays out of the way when not in use and easily accepts carabiners or large snap hooks.

CMC recommends using the turnout manufacturer’s approved belt loop and keepers to ensure the harness remains in place when the gear is stored.

A multipurpose belt for carrying tools that doubles as an NFPA escape belt, our Fire Escape Belt is manufactured of fire-resistant, two-inch Kevlar^® brand fiber web. Designed for Emergency Rappel

In a class by itself, CMC offers the only NFPA Certified Uniform Rappel Belts available. Designed for everyday wear but with the performance needed for an emergency rappel or belay. Standard uniform wear for search and rescue, SWAT and fire rescue personnel, the belt is constructed to the same exacting standards as our harness line and is the only certified uniform belt available. Specifically designed for performing work or rescue in or around a trench, our Class I Trench Work-Rescue Belt is loaded with features. Its AustriAlpin COBRA^® buckle—manufactured from 7075 aluminum alloy with a built-in stainless steel D-ring (Buckle:18 kN / 4,000 lbf MBS, D-ring: 22 kN / 5,000 lbf MBS, straight pull)—is secure yet easy to open and close while wearing gloves. At the behest of several departments, we added a tether that extends the length of the connection out to 16-3/4 inches to reach the ladder rung. The wide padding and quick connect hardware make it comfortable and easy to don. Our lightweight auto-locking ProSeries XL Carabiner is included. Black web with red padding.

The K9 Lifesaver Harness™ was originally developed for the San Francisco Fire Department to use for rescuing stranded dogs from coastal cliffs. The department consulted with a veterinarian to help ensure that the harness properly supported the weight of a dog without harming its internal organs or tail while being suspended. Working-At-Height / Industrial Rope Access / Technical Rope Rescue
Working at height requires reliable, quality equipment. The Spreader Bar can be used with confidence in work-at-height maneuvers for industrial rope access or technical rope rescue when used in accordance with the regulatory safety standards it falls under. Individual MOLLE Pockets available for custom systems

The exterior pocket of the Helicopter Emergency Egress Device (HEED) Pocket holds the air cylinder securely with a cinch closure, while the back panel keeps the air hose and regulator in place. The Radio Pocket holds a single radio and closes with a side release buckle. The Multi-Use Pocket can be used to hold a small multi-tool or cell phone. Made of permeable mesh, the Gas Monitor Pocket allows the monitor to detect gases without being removed.

The Unique MOLLE Attachment System

The Modular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment (MOLLE) Attachment System: the current military standard for quick and easy attachment of different pockets and accessories to chest harnesses, vests, and packs. MOLLE allows you to custom organize your gear by attaching the types of pockets and attachments that work best for you. MOLLE pockets are infinitely adaptable. Our hook-and-loop attachment system can be woven through existing MOLLE attachment systems, including those on our new Whitney and Palisade packs. The ATOM Chest Ascender Kit is a specialized solution for affixing a chest ascender to the CMC ATOM harness.

The kit includes one sewn ATOM Ascender Strap (part # 067022) and one 8MM Delta Quick Link (part # 382008). It is compatible with the Climbing Technology Chest Ascender HC, Climbing Technology Chest Ascender +, and the Petzl Croll Ascender, in both the small and large sizes.

Compatibility:

• The current ATOM Sit and BYO ATOM Sit (PN# 202B) has a rear oval ring for attaching the ATOM Chest. This combination creates an NFPA Class III Life Safety Harness without the need for additional hardware.
• The previous ATOM Sit (PN# 202A) has a soft loop on the back. A Trapezium Quick-Link is required to attach the rear tether of the ATOM Chest to the ATOM Sit. This combination is not NFPA Class III, but the ATOM Sit retains its NFPA Class II designation.

Assembly:

To combine the ATOM Chest with the ATOM Sit or BYO ATOM Sit, follow these steps and refer to the Pro Tip Video.

1) Remove the dorsal webbing from the slider buckle.

2) Feed the dorsal strap through the oval ring (202B) or Trapezium Quick-Link (202A) on the back of the ATOM Sit.

3) Re-attach the dorsal strap to the slider buckle of the ATOM Chest.

4) Feed the trap link through the center loop on the ATOM sit. Make sure it feeds through all of the webbing layers.

5) Tighten the trap link using a 15mm wrench.

Ascenders:

To install or swap out a variety of chest ascenders, follow these steps and refer to the Pro Tip Video.

1) Open the trap link on the ATOM Chest and remove the front lift.

2) Run the chest ascender strap loop over the front lift of the ATOM Chest.

3) Push the stiffened end of the chest ascender strap through the top hole of the chest ascender and over the back of the front lift.

4) Push the stiffened end under the top strap, over and back under the bottom strap, and under the chest ascender strap loop itself.

5) Reconnect the front lift to the trap link and tighten with a 15mm wrench.

6) Use the delta link to connect the chest ascender to the atom Sit ventral webbing attachment point.

7) Confirm the delta link is positioned in front of the ATOM Chest trap link, running through the same webbing loops.

8) Tighten the delta link with a 14mm wrench. Both the delta and trap link should be secured a quarter turn beyond hand tightness.
